This garlic mincer is absolutely beautiful and is a pleasure to use! It's much quicker than a conventional knife and my fingers don't get all stinky like they do when I slice it up. It's also much easier to clean than any other garlic mincer I've ever had because it doesn't have hinges to get filled up with garlic mush/juice. I was hesitant to buy it after reading some of the other reviews that said it was hard to clean and didn't get the garlic small enough, but I haven't been bothered by these problems at all. If I rock the mincer back and forth over a clove and it doesn't mince small enough I just rotate the mincer and crush it again a few times until it's a good size. I have noticed that the garlic will stick in the holes a little bit while it's being used, but I usually just run my fingers over it and most of the garlic falls out of the holes. If absolutely necessary you could definitely grab a little metal skewer or even a toothpick and use it to quickly push the rest out. When cleaning, a hard stream of water from the faucet knocks any remnants right out. I love this thing and it was absolutely worth the price. I might even buy one for each of my sisters that cook often like I do.
